CAINPay, explained for beginners
CAINPay is the spending policy for an AI agent: every payment is approved or declined against it, with a receipt and a ledger nobody can quietly edit.
What it is
When an AI agent is allowed to pay for things, someone has to say how much, and where. CAINPay holds that policy: a per-payment limit, a daily limit, and merchants that are never allowed.
Every payment the agent wants to make is checked first. Within policy: APPROVED. Breaks the policy: DECLINED, with the reason. Every decision is written to a ledger where each entry is chained to the previous one, so nobody can quietly delete a declined payment, and each decision comes with a signed receipt.
An everyday comparison
A company card with rules built in: a limit per purchase, a daily limit, and shops it simply won't work at.
How it works, in 4 steps
- Set the agent's policy: limits and blocked merchants.
- The agent asks CAINPay before each payment.
- APPROVED or DECLINED, with the reason and a signed receipt.
- Each decision is added to a chained ledger anyone can re-check.
