Evidence, proof and selling tools for CAINBudget
Level 1 Beginner: understand it
Each agent gets a budget. Every spend is checked first. Over budget means no.
Think of it like this: A prepaid card for each agent. When it's empty, it's empty, however the agent asks.
Read the full plain-English explanation: CAINBudget, explained.
Level 2 User: see it work
Run it live: open the live demo. Before each result, guess what will happen. These are checks it must pass:
- Ask for $49.99: Under the limit.
- Ask for exactly $50.00: Exactly the limit is allowed.
- Ask for $50.01 (one cent over): One cent over the limit is refused.
- Ask for $75: Over the limit.
- Ask for a billion dollars: Scientific notation doesn't slip past the check.
Level 3 Verifier: prove it yourself
This is the skill that sets you apart: you don't have to believe us, and neither do your customers.
- Install Python 3 if you don't have it (python.org/downloads).
- Download the kit and unzip it.
- Open a terminal in that folder. On Windows, click the folder's address bar, type
cmdand press Enter. On a Mac, right-click the folder and choose New Terminal at Folder. - Run
python3 verify.py(on Windows, python verify.py). It checks the seal without the internet. - Run
python3 verify.py --live. It repeats every check from your own computer. - Try to cheat it: open
transcript.jsonin a text editor, change one character, save, and runpython3 verify.pyagain. It must now say FAIL. Unzip a fresh copy afterward.
Level 4 Expert: know the edges
An expert knows what a product does not do, and says it first. That is what makes a buyer trust you.
- It only knows about spending your agent asks it about. A payment step that skips the check is not covered.
- It counts money you tell it about; it does not read your cloud or card bills.
- Receipts are signed with this deployment's own software key (not a hardware key).
- Found 2026-11-03: the amount 'Infinity' caused a server error instead of a clean refusal. Nothing was allowed; the fix is written and waiting to be deployed.
You can say
- One cent over the limit is refused.
- No budget means no spend.
- Every answer has a signed receipt.
Never say
- "Controls your cloud bill" (it only knows spends it is asked about).
- "Moves or holds money".
